A note from Mark Millon/Millon Lacrosse:
I have been running Millon lacrosse camps for 25 years, I have had over 30,000 young athletes come through during that time. We are truly the gold standard of lacrosse instruction. What has allowed us to be successful during this period is a laser focus on fundamentals and technique.
During this period of incredible national crisis Millon lacrosse is going to launch virtual camps via ZOOM that will allow young players who love lacrosse to attend a camp from the safety of their home.
I want you to understand how important technique and fundamentals in lacrosse are. There are some things I cannot duplicate for you during this virtual camp. I can’t allow you to play a game, can’t reproduce interaction with other campers but I can give you those key fundamentals and allow you to rep them. I’ve joked around in the past, well before this crisis that I could teach you to become a better individual player in a phone booth. I have studied other sports and have used the concept of mastering skills “dry” with my own 16 and 13 year old. Learning a skill “dry”, which really just means without a ball in your stick allows you to begin to master the skill and then ease into it with a ball once the footwork and hands are learned.
